GOMBAK: A social media influencer has been arrested for allegedly sending lewd photos to an underage girl.
Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir stated that the suspect was apprehended after the mother of the 14-year-old victim lodged a report regarding the photos.
"Investigations showed that the suspect had sent several inappropriate photos as well as messages of a sexual nature to the girl since early May," he said.
The suspect was arrested yesterday after surrendering himself to Gombak police.
"The police view the sexual exploitation of children seriously and will take strict action against any individuals involved," he added.
